1. Every Rate Has Its Own Rules
Cancellation terms on wuvist are set by each hotel, per rate — not by us. The same room can be sold as a flexible rate (cancel free until a deadline) and a non-refundable rate (cheaper, but final). The exact terms for the rate you pick are always shown before you pay, on the rate card and again on the payment screen.
Read the cancellation line on a rate before booking. If it says "Free cancellation until" a date, that date is binding for both you and the hotel. If it says non-refundable, it means exactly that.
2. Free Cancellation Deadlines
Flexible rates include a free-cancellation deadline — a specific date and time (in the hotel's local time zone unless stated otherwise) up to which you can cancel at no cost.
- Cancel before the deadline: full refund, no questions asked
- Cancel after the deadline: the hotel's late-cancellation fee applies — typically the first night or the full stay, as stated on the rate
- The deadline for each booking is shown on the rate before payment, in your confirmation email, and on your booking in Trips
3. How to Cancel
You can cancel an eligible booking in two ways:
From your Trips page
Go to wuvist.com/trips, open the booking, and tap Cancel. You'll see the applicable deadline and any fee before you confirm. Cancellation is instant and you receive a confirmation email.
Through support
Email support@wuvist.com with your booking reference. We process cancellation requests in the order received — for time-sensitive deadlines, cancelling from Trips is faster.
4. Refunds and Timelines
Hotel bookings on wuvist are processed by our booking partner LiteAPI, which acts as the merchant of record — the charge on your card statement comes from the booking processor, and refunds are issued by them too.
- Refunds always go back to the original payment method — we cannot redirect a refund to a different card or account
- Once a cancellation is confirmed, the refund is initiated immediately
- Allow 5–10 business days for the amount to appear on your statement — the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer
- If a refund hasn't arrived after 10 business days, contact support@wuvist.com with your booking reference and we'll trace it
5. Non-Refundable Rates
Non-refundable rates are discounted because the hotel commits the room to you the moment you book. If you cancel or change a non-refundable booking, no refund is due — regardless of how far in advance you cancel.
In exceptional circumstances (for example, a hotel closure or a documented emergency), some hotels choose to refund non-refundable bookings as a goodwill gesture. We're happy to ask on your behalf — email support@wuvist.com — but the decision rests with the hotel and is not guaranteed.
6. No-Show Policy
If you don't arrive at the hotel and haven't cancelled, the booking is treated as a no-show. Hotels typically charge the full amount of the stay (or the no-show fee stated on the rate), and the remaining nights are released. A no-show is not a cancellation — if your plans change, cancel before check-in, even after the free-cancellation deadline, as a late-cancellation fee is usually smaller than a no-show charge.
Arriving late on your check-in date? Most hotels hold the room until the next morning, but it's worth telling them — or us — so the booking isn't released.
